From the first page, sparks fly, as Sarah sees Raif's rundown house. The attraction between these two people is undeniable, though, and quickly grows from heated kisses, to a spicy sexual encounter in a barn loft. These are two people at opposite ends of the spectrum. Sarah is the pampered daughter who can barely cook, and Raif never expects her to take him up on his suggestion to help him fix up the house. Sarah, though, is not one to forego a challenge, even when she knows it's a mistake. With her novel Cowboys Make Better Lovers, Kelly Wallace made me want to run to the nearest rodeo and lasso a cowboy for myself! This was a most entertaining read!

Kelly Wallace tells quite a charming tale with COWBOYS MAKE BETTER LOVERS.   At first Sarah struck me as an uppity snob who believes that she knows what’s best for everybody but as I read through the story I began to see the cracks in her persona and found her to be genuinely likeable.   Raif is downright brutally honest and that’s something which Sarah isn’t used to with her father or her fiancé.   There’s a chemistry present between Sarah and Raif right from their very first meeting that sizzles the pages.   Add the emotional factor of deciding the fates of the three children and you have a story that will keep you turning pages anticipating the upheaval that Sarah and Raif experience while trying to maintain a stable front for the kids.   This is a wonderful feel good story and while it does have children involved, it’s Sarah who really does a lot of ‘growing up.’   Beautifully written Ms. Wallace.

For a woman raised in a privileged environment Sarah is a woman of character and determination; she is not afraid to get her hands dirty or to fight for what she wants. No is Raif a man who stands on the sidelines, letting a passion for pleasure take precedence over a responsibility to these orphaned children. He is a man of courage, stamina and integrity. The storyline could have been a “gloom and doom” depressing affair, yet managed to be uplifting, funny and engaging to this reader instead. The lead protagonists are passionate in all ways, and it is readily apparent when they share a scene; the encounters are spicy and varied, leaving no doubt to the depth of emotion present with each encounter. If you are looking for a great way to escape for a few hours, Cowboys Make Better Lovers is a fine choice. Author Kelly Wallace is an author to watch for; I predict great things in store for the future.

Wow I loved this book and yes Kelly Wallace definitely knows her cowboys. Raif is all cowboy from one look of his and even though he's a bachelor he loves his nephews greatly. I loved the fact that even though Sarah kept pushing him about his wild days he never strayed and jumped to other women but showed her that he was all man for her. Now Sarah she was hard to like but once you read more of her you can see all she needs is a man to really love her like Raif. I loved it and can't wait for more of Kelly's books.

Rating: A Long Cool 5 Enchantments

COWBOYS MAKE BETTER LOVERS is a great story of a broken and stubborn woman, an even more stubborn and sexy man, and three adorable kids.  Kansas may get hot in the summer but nothing like the heat coming from Sarah and Raif.  Ms. Wallace has just been added to my got-to-look-out-for author list, so that I don’t miss another book.

Ms. Kelly Wallace created the situation of parents’ deaths and joint custody which made for a unique story line. The supporting cast members were not as much involved, however, their parts in the manuscript created essential background information. Ms. Wallace showed a chemical explosion between the main characters and it just got better the further I read.

The story flowed well and was skillfully written; I recommend it to anyone who likes contemporary romance with flair!
